The 3rd Annual Intermountain Sustainability Summit will be held at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah on March 7th and 8th, 2012. The Summit program will include three tracks: Recycling and Waste Reduction, Sustainability Planning and Implementation, and Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy. The sessions in the Energy Track will provide attendees with information on the following:

• Easy-to-implement energy-efficiency projects for your business, organization, and home
• Renewable energy for your business, organization, and home
• Financing business/home energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects
• Methods for reducing the carbon footprint of new construction
• Techniques for reducing your personal carbon footprint
• Energy sector workforce development

On March 7th at 6:30, the Summit will also be screening “Wind Uprising” with a panel discussion following. This documentary tells the story of the 4-year struggle to establish the Spanish Fork Wind project via interviews and footage of the project. The film addresses policy, market, pricing, and NIMBY issues that faced the developers and how they were overcome.
