Utah experts in building energy efficiency, UBEES, gathered in Washington D.C. to accept the Energy Star Partner Award from the EPA. UBEES, a public/private partnership is working with business, schools, churches, utilities, and residents to reduce energy use in buildings in Utah.
The UBEES partnership is being recognized for its promotion efforts over the past year. Promotion activities being lauded include monthly Morningside Building Energy Code trainings, a business roundtable, an Energy Star Summit held last fall, initiating the Energy Star section of the Home and Garden Show, sponsoring energy manager internships, recognition awards, and free assistance with benchmarking buildings offered to business and organizations.
