Climate Change Campaign

Reliable, clean, and secure energy is essential to Utah's economic viability, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of our growing population.  There is an immediate need to dramatically reduce our carbon emissions to ensure a healthy environment for current and future generations.

The primary objective of our Climate Change Campaign is to drive strong state, regional, and federal climate change policies that ensure adequate greenhouse gas reductions to avoid catastrophic climate change. Increased energy efficiency and renewable energy are key paths to a healthy economy and greenhouse gas reduction.

Utah Clean Energy participated in the Governor's Blue Ribbon Advisory Council on Climate Change (BRACC), assisting with the development of a report that includes 72 climate mitigation policy recommendations and a comprehensive and compelling science report authored by prominent Utah scientists.  View the report here.
