If I’ve learned anything in the 20+ years since founding Utah Clean Energy, it is that what might seem impossible is possible with focus, determination, and an understanding of our shared values.
Driven by a concern for the future that her three-year-old son and his generation would inherit, Sarah left a successful career as an environmental consultant, determined to forge a better way. Determined to take action, Sarah founded Utah Clean Energy in 2001 when the West was in the throes of the California energy crisis.
From the outset, Sarah was undaunted by the politics of working on climate change in one of the most conservative states in the nation, nor did she hesitate to champion clean energy in a state with proud and deep-rooted ties to coal. Sarah focused on solutions and finding common ground through shared values. Her positive impact can be seen in every corner of the state and beyond.  Â
From Sarah’s kitchen table to today, Utah Clean Energy has evolved to be one of the most impactful climate organizations in Utah.
In appreciation of individuals who make known their legacy giving intentions, all legacy gift donors are automatically granted membership in the Sarah Wright Legacy Society unless they prefer to opt out. Sarah Wright Legacy Society members enjoy invitations to exclusive events, special updates, and the opportunity to be publicly acknowledged for their lasting contribution while also inspiring others to give.Â

NOTICE: WEÂ ARE NOT A SOLAR COMPANY
We would like to clarify that Utah Clean Energy is not a solar company. We are a nonprofit organization that advocates for solar and other clean energy technologies, but we do not install or sell solar in any way.
Â
Utah Clean Energy Association is not affiliated with our work. This is a sales group that despite our best efforts to get them to stop, continues to use our name in their advertising. We encourage you to report them to Google Ads as misleading. The company that reached out to you is likely a solar company that purchased your contact information as a lead. You may consider reporting that company to the Better Business Bureau for using misleading sales tactics also.
Â
We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
