Julia is the Clean Energy Fellow, who works to encourage the adoption of low and zero emission buildings, and educates the public about actions they can take to make their existing home more energy efficient through Utah Clean Energy’s Empower SLC program. In this role, she researches continuing education courses for contractors that focus on high-performance buildings and works to host energy savings workshops for the public and provides resources for partners to host their own workshops. She also supports communications work by running Utah Clean Energy’s social media pages and creating content about clean energy projects, community events, calls to action, etc.
Julia has 7 years of experience in public engagement and program development and graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Environmental Science. Before joining the team, she worked as a Park Ranger at Cedar Breaks National monument, educating people about the environment and encouraging stewardship of public lands. Outside of work, you can find her working on various art projects, in her vegetable garden, or hiking in beautiful places.
