Max leads strategic programs in support of Utah Clean Energy’s climate leadership and energy efficiency teams, focused on crafting policy and building coalitions. Through his role at Utah Clean Energy, Max develops partnerships with local governments, businesses and other stakeholders to find avenues of collaboration in the expansion of clean energy in the West. He works to bridge gaps in clean energy generation, building energy efficiency, workforce development, and community engagement.
Max Joined Utah Clean Energy from the University of Utah’s Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, where he specialized in tax policy, economic development, and affordable housing research. Max also served as the policy director for Chris Peterson’s 2020 Utah gubernatorial campaign and as program director for Octagon Mentoring, a mentoring and mental health coordination service for young adults and adolescents. Max holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Utah. When he isn’t working, you can find Max outside, enjoying all the beauty and recreational opportunities Utah has to offer.
