Up For Air Raises Over $11,000 for Air Quality and Climate

Local air quality advocates, athletes, and supporters joined together throughout March to raise awareness and money for clean air and climate solutions through the Up For Air personal challenge! We are thrilled to report that 173 donors raised over $11,000 in support of Utah Clean Energy’s work, and Patagonia is matching the first $10,000 bringing the total raised to over $20,000!

Utah Clean Energy is grateful for all of the athletes who completed personal challenges during the Up For Air event! From skiing mountains to running trails, Utahns showed once again that we are eager to do our part for clean air and a healthy climate. Thank you to all of the participants, supporters and organizers of this year’s Up For Air Challenge!

“When I told people about my dreams of climbing/skiing the biggest mountains in the world, they said I was too small and not strong enough. I hear folks say similar things about taking action on climate – that It can feel overwhelming.

Seeing the donations come in during my Crush it 4 Climate and Up for Air challenges, with friends and family cheering me on, kept me smiling as I went up and down the mountain. And I made the impossible my reality. We must do the same for our climate. I have no doubt, even when people tell us we’re too small to make a difference, that we will persevere and reach our goals of taking bold action on the climate crisis.

NOTICE: WE ARE NOT A SOLAR COMPANY

We would like to clarify that Utah Clean Energy is not a solar company. We are a nonprofit organization that advocates for solar and other clean energy technologies, but we do not install or sell solar in any way.

Utah Clean Energy Association is not affiliated with our work. This is a sales group that despite our best efforts to get them to stop, continues to use our name in their advertising. We encourage you to report them to Google Ads as misleading. The company that reached out to you is likely a solar company that purchased your contact information as a lead. You may consider reporting that company to the Better Business Bureau for using misleading sales tactics also.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

Thank you,

The Utah Clean Energy team
